Three approval modes: Manually approve, Automatically approve and Skip all approvals. Auto, where a safety check reviews each action, is the default in the Cowork side panel. Some actions, like purchases and permanent deletions, are blocked in every mode.
Lock this down first
Switch to Manually approve for anything touching money, messages or important files. On Team or Enterprise, set a site allowlist.

| Sandboxing | Unverified | Not confirmed in the docs we checked. |
| Secrets handling | 2/3 | Entering sensitive info always needs your approval. With 1Password, you approve each login request with biometrics. |
| Audit logs | 1/3 | Extension settings show your permission history and approved sites. |
| Kill switch / interrupt | Unverified | Not confirmed in the docs we checked. |
| Network egress control | 2/3 | Team and Enterprise admins can limit Claude to allowlisted sites or block sites, whatever users allow. |
